Exorcism
One of the heaviest and more frequent of things I was called upon to do was exorcism of an individuals or of houses. Once one can gain the strength of mind to use the soul, possibilities of exorcising spirits is an exciting and blessed job to do.
It is wisdom to repeat that the light from the soul gives one an opportunity to see and talk with the intruder, who after speaking is quite ready to leave as they have found life rather tedious linked to someone else's wishes and food often scarce. I do not send them away, when seeing one very loving who has gone before, even though frightening the one they are looking after. One particular man of the First World War I saw following the lady he loved and sitting next to her on the bus. She was totally unaware that this handsome officer was so close, his presence giving her subconscious mind great comfort. I said nothing to her of what I had seen, lest she panic and the people around started talking and as the man did not pay his fare maybe the driver might have wondered whether he should ask for it. The lady looked about as if she was listening to him, as he pointed out in a natural manner to the scenery through which we were passing.
The soldier's clothes and his Gladstone bag were spotlessly clean. I felt I had learned a lot just looking at him as he talked, the lady contentedly looking out of the window.
Qualification and method of doing the work is often up to the teacher, whose pupil was the one carrying out the necessary services.
The White Brotherhood
Having excellent knowledge of the feelings that cause the aura of colours to exist is a necessary part of the work. Confidence in service cannot be entirely natural if not knowing the amount of
light that is used from the colours associated with one's own actions. Getting the White Brotherhood to help when the spirit does not want to leave is very helpful, their love helping the
situation, as added light will come from it. The medium is encouraging and not harassing or shaking the body, which can hurt the individual more so than making discomfort for the one who likes
being where they are. Quietness of brain is the keynote and love from the soul gives encouragement, so that the spirit will relinquish their soul and they will go happily with the Brothers who will
carry them and flying is enjoyed.
Since finishing these narrations I have been advised to put in a brief encounter with the doctor I had been with for a number of years. He was getting old, but loved his practice; he had activities and on visiting me enquired if there were doctors in the spirit world. I said, "Some help me with my work, so I am sure you can take your practice with you."
He laughed. "If I can I will give you a bottle of medicine when you need it, that will prove the point, won't it?"
"I shall be glad of that, I am sure," I said also joining in his happy mood. He thought it was amusing. Only a few weeks passed and he was beyond the pain he had suffered.
It so happened I was ill very soon after, and on sleeping soundly I was in his surgery. He gave me the bottle of medicine and he thanked me for my advice to him. The medicine was wonderful. I had found it difficult to sleep but do not take pills. The medicine made me sleep and within a few days I was on top of the world. How glad I was that I had learned and was able to use my soul, which being with me all the time was of help in so many differing ways.
