Learning To Swim In The Water
Rescue is a work that many people love to do. Here, I feel I should say that without the continuing power of the soul it is useless to think one will be trained in all of these activities.
Whether one can swim or not, the sincere soul will take to the water, eventually overcoming the fear of water going over one's head.
My last test took some time to go through. Firstly I had to swim some distance. Fear stops me swimming when awake, but I passed the full test and became qualified to do any rescue, wherever it was necessary to go.
After swimming the distance there and back, I found I had to do it again with a child on my back clinging to me. That too went well. The third test was swimming on my back with two large parcels on my stomach. All was done, giving full confidence in what is possible when one sleeps; it is now part of my whole self. I still am unable to swim in the body, but how glad I am I can rescue anyone drowning when I am asleep.
The impossible of the earth can be done
One cannot do the lessons only for rescue work, as the daytime and what one does is most important. Without building the soul the light has no help and nothing much can be done. By being sincere in
one's seeking the rest will follow and the impossible of the earth can be done.
One can walk upon the water and on the sea bed; one's faculties supreme, there is not a thing that Jesus did that cannot be done by the inward body when light makes it ready to do anything required of it - this has been proven a number of times.
The day I heard someone saying, "Ridiculous! How could water build up walls that last long enough for people and cattle to walk to the other side without getting wet?" I put the question to my teacher in spirit and found out after falling asleep. I was standing at the water's edge and it split in two, building up with a wall both sides. The noise was tremendous; I cannot say I had no fear, but after walking some time I found myself looking back and the grumbling water fell into place. In the light of this, I question nothing and believe that there are many things in heaven and earth that man has never dreamed of.
My life with the Spirit commenced at the age of eight. Mistakes and blunderings with the new brain have been many. I came into a family where opposition commenced the day I was born and has continued since that time, my life often menaced by subtle means to destroy what I had to learn to do the work I had asked to do.
There is compensation, but should the soul be put to sleep there is nothing that can be done to compensate. Much is with goodwill and all that can be done when it is used.
